We offer a wide range of activities for those who want to get more involved in church life or meet members of their local community. These include regular events such as our ‘Second Tuesday Together’ coffee morning, East Vale Craft Group, a Bible study and discussion group and a prayer group, alongside informal opportunities for coffee and chat following many of our services. We also hold one-off trips and outings including retreat days and social events.
We have strong links with St Peter’s Church Choir (who sing at our choral services) and local bell-ringing groups. Our churches often host fundraising events for local charities and concerts, featuring visiting musicians and home-grown young talent. All are beautiful places to visit, with many unique and historical features that attract visitors from across the UK. Many of our churches are open during daylight hours (see church pages for details) and we encourage our local communities to make use of the peace and space that they offer.
There are many seasonal events that take place throughout the church year, including community carol events, the ‘Walking Nativity’, Easter events, harvest services and our ever-popular pet blessing services, often held in conjunction with other local churches or community groups. We maintain strong links with those who are no longer able to attend church but wish to remain connected with the community, including pastoral visits and opportunities to receive home communion; please contact a member of the clergy team if this is something you are interested in.
Upcoming events and services are published in our weekly newsletter or via Facebook, or contact the clergy team for more information.
