Much restored in the mid 19th century, the church retains many elements of its Norman and mediaeval history. The tower holds a peel of 6 bells. Four of which may be a re-cast of the original peel of 4, which were presented by one Judge David Jenkins. He did this as a 'thank you' offering for his safe return from imprisonment in the Tower of London. The church is currently famous for the flagpole and the various flags that fly from it.
